The 6×5’6 Shire Cubby Playhouse is an idyllic children’s playhouse, offering hours of play in the prettiest of wendy houses. Constructed from 12mm smooth planed tongue and groove cladding, well-known for its weather resistance, durability and strength, the playhouse further benefits from 34x34mm framing. The floor is 12mm tongue and groove, ready to withstand years of children’s games and footfall. The apex roof is 11mm OSB board finished in felt ensuring a weatherproof interior. Its decorative scalloped edge and finial add an attractive touch. The overhang of the roof allows for a small veranda framed by two side railings. The entrance door features a single glazed diamond window and a cottage-style ring latch. Two single glazed opening windows with Georgian styling allow light into the interior, providing ventilation and complete the pretty appearance. The Shire Cubby is supplied dip treated with a 10-year anti-rot guarantee, when supported with annual retreatment. An upgrade to a top coat is available for this playhouse This top coat is a wood stain that provides a waterproof coating to resist algal and fungal attack. It nourishes the wood to provide year-round colour and protection. Two coats are applied, by the manufacturer, to both the interior and exterior of the playhouse As a dip-treated garden building, it is usually recommended that the customer apply a treatment upon assembly; this top coat eliminates the need to do so. The colour of this stain is called “gold” which is an orangey-yellow.
